Holly Hunter, an American actress and film producer is known for her acclaimed performance in films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. Holly Hunter has won numerous awards and awards, among them her first Oscar for her role in the film Piano. The talented actress began her acting career on the stage through a variety of Broadway and Off-Broadway projects. She has had a passion for acting since when she was in the school. The first time she appeared in a production in fifth grade was as Helen Keller. Mumps made her lose hearing in one her ear canals, but that didn't stop the actress from pursuing her dream. When she was a teenager she studied drama, before moving in New York City. She was introduced to Beth Henley in an elevator and the pair collaborated in Broadway Crimes of the Heart the first movie Hunter made. As she settled in Los Angeles, she began to search for film roles. She landed one in the role of an actress playing the leading character Swing Shift. Since then, she has appeared in several films, TV series and movies over the course of her 30-year career. Holly Hunter won a star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and also the Women in Film Lucy Award.
